എല്ലാവരുമുള്ള,എന്നാല്‍ ആരുമില്ലാത്ത പങ്കജാക്ഷി മകളെ ഒന്നാംക്ലാസില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കാനായി സ്കൂളിലെത്തി.തുറന്നുവെച്ച രജിസ്റ്ററില്‍നിന്നു മുഖമുയര്‍ത്താതെ ഹെഡ്‌മാസ്റ്റര്‍ ചോദിച്ചു:
“കുട്ടീടെ പേര്?”
“രാധ.സാറിനറിയാലോ.”
“നിങ്ങടെ പേര്?”
“പങ്കജാക്ഷി.സാറിനറിയാലോ.”
“നിങ്ങടെ തൊഴില്‍?”
“അത്........സാറിനറിയാലോ”
ആദ്യം ചോദിക്കേണ്ട ചോദ്യം എന്തുകൊണ്ടോ ഒടുവില്‍ വളരെ പതുക്കെയാണ് ഹെഡ്‌മാസ്റ്റര്‍ ചോദിച്ചത്.
“കുട്ടീടെ അച്ഛന്റെ പേര്?”
പങ്കജാക്ഷി ചിരിച്ചു.
“അതും ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞുതരണോ?!”

ReplyDeleteഅദ്ഭുതം എങ്ങനെയാണ് ഇത്രയധികം കുറുംകഥകള്‍ ചുരക്കുന്നതെന്ന്! നല്ലത്..ചെറിയകഥകളായതുകൊണ്ട് വായിക്കാന്‍ സുഖം. ഏച്ചുകെട്ടലുകളില്ല,നിഗൂഢവത്കരണമില്ല അതിയായ ആത്മനിഷ്ഠതയുമില്ല. സര്‍ റിയലിസം തീരെയില്ല.മുറിച്ചുവച്ച ചെറുനാരങ്ങപോലെ...വിറ്റാമിന്‍ സി
